I usually do this kind of report for my private clients, but this year there is really so much going on that I feel I should at least post the transits that are dominating the year. To put each one in a Monthly Newsletter does not really show the importance of the overall year. So, I’m posting the general information here. If anyone would like to know more specifically how this will impact their lives, then message me for a consultation. But, enjoy the general information for free. LOL
I’m breaking the year down into two parts. Part 1 will last from January to the end of July, and Part 2 will run from August to December and on into 2021. It’s important to pay attention to the first part of the year as the second half of the year will become sort of the effect of the first part of the year. Think of it as a yin/yang kind of year, or more accurately a cause=effect year. What we sow in the first half of the year will be what we reap in the second part of the year. If that sounds karmic in nature, it is. It also sounds dramatic, and it is. It’s going to be an eventful year on all fronts.
My advice to every single person this year is to “Do what is right, even if it hurts or is difficult”. Try to do the right thing; you’ll reduce the amount of backlash in the second half of the year if you try really, really hard to do what is right. Remember when it comes to karma, trying counts.
So, here we go:
12/26/19 Solar Eclipse in Capricorn at 04°06′ Capricorn is conjunct Jupiter, so this is going to be a positive solar eclipse because Jupiter is associated with growth, expansion, prosperity, and good fortune. ,
These aspects are strong too because the orbs are only just over one degree. The addition of a Mars-Jupiter natured fixed star portending success and ambition leaves no doubt the solar eclipse is extremely fortunate.
A solar eclipse conjunct Jupiter brings happiness, optimism, generosity and good luck, with opportunities for personal, professional and spiritual growth. It gives an enthusiastic urge to do all you can, to spread your wings and experience life to the fullest. The keyword “expansion” applies to all areas of life, from relationships to wealth.
This is an excellent solar eclipse begin new studies or long-distance travel. But also relationships, investments, business and legal matters started under this influence have a great chance of success. A solar eclipse with Jupiter also promotes spiritual growth and self-understanding.
Eclipses occur when the Moon reaches the upper and lower boundaries of its elliptical orbit, between three to seven times each year. As it touches these thresholds, known as the lunar nodes, the Moon aligns perfectly with the Sun and Earth to form a lunar or solar eclipse.
Lunar eclipses occur during Full Moons and are associated with release, whereas solar eclipses are triggered by New Moons and generate opportunity. In astrology, the lunar nodes (the North and South Nodes) are referred to as the Nodes of Fate. The South Node symbolizes past life, while the North Node exposes your destiny. Think of them as your karmic “before and after.” These nodes are always in opposite signs. (P.S. It’s super easy to spot these nodes in your birth chart—they look like little horseshoes.)
Pluto Aspects in 2020: There are entire books written about Pluto and what it means in a chart of any kind. Basically, it is all about transformation. The death of something old and outworn, and a renewal in a transformed shape. Picture the Phoenix rising from the ashes. This kind of creative destruction is prompted [usually] by some kind of increased abuse of power individually, or collectively in a geo-political sense. Pluto steps in and ends the abuses by any means necessary, and transforms these abuses into a new form of good.
Pluto is Always a Change in the Balance of Power.
ALWAYS.
This year is a year of dominance by the planet Pluto and its younger brother Mars. If you notice, there are countless references in this article to either planet separately or together. These should not be ignored.
Saturn conjunct Pluto: This conjunction signifies a time of serious weakening and destruction, when irreparable damage to the current establishment and status quo will be affected, giving birth to a major shift in power. When we can expect some major crisis which will intensify the demise of the current systems and bring society-changing upheaval and a death of the old ways, something ground-changing, perhaps the fall of governments, mass protests, strikes, economic collapse, or a war of some kind, which means things can never be the same again.
This surge towards change will primarily be lead by those born at a time of previous Saturn Pluto conjunctions ie 1982-1983 and 1946-1948, destined to be political activists and to do something serious about the corruption in governments in order to overturn outdated systems and rules, and to bring in new ones.
1/7/20-1/14/20 @ 22 degrees Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn [exact]
1/20/20-1/22/20 @ 23 degrees Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn [exact]
Using a 3-degree orb for contact between Saturn and Pluto, Saturn will be influencing you for a good part of the year. While it is exact on the dates above, influence will be felt from:
12/2/19-2/18/20
9/1/20-10/28/20
Saturn conjunct Pluto represents a complete re-distribution of power. Spiritually it represents a rite of passage for each individual. This re-distribution is representative of a change in how we all turn personal resources into productive and societal good. We’ve veered into ‘abuses of power’ in our world, and Saturn and Pluto are demanding these abuses to be magnified for all to see, and insist on their destruction [creative destruction]. This aspect will cause many to become aware of power, its abuses, and will gain the skill to manage such power not only in the world, but in each of our lives. There will also be an increase in skill to use power and resources.
Globally, Saturn conjunct Pluto will equal a re-alignment of power that will have long lasting effects on our world. These changes will take hold and will be permanent for at least a generation [or until the next Saturn conjunct Pluto in 2054. Which let’s face it, most of us won’t live to see.]
This aspect alone requires that we all try and do the right thing regardless of how difficult or painful it might be. Both Saturn and Pluto have Karmic implications, and the Mars aspects will bring karmic retribution swiftly to those that ignore these warnings. This is not the year to tempt fate. I don’t mean to be overly dramatic here, but this won’t be an easy year, and can only be modified by doing the best you can for as long as you can. Karma is real. Abuses of personal power or cultural power will not fare well during 2020.
One last word on this aspect, try to consolidate both wins and losses. It is not the year to go out on a limb financially, emotionally, or physically. It is not a year to take any unnecessary chances. Plans that anyone has been making, or instigating before 2020 can proceed, but only with caution. New plans must be approached cautiously. As I’ve said previously, this is a re-alignment of power. The way you have been doing things, is not the way to proceed in 2020. You must take heed, learn your lessons, and take a new approach based on the re-alignment itself.
You can branch out, increase your presence in your field, accomplish much this year, but you must heed the changes in approach and learn how your power has been modified. Doing what has brought you success in the past, may no longer be the best approach. We must all learn from the failures as much as from the successes.
Pay attention.
Do the right thing.
Forge ahead even when it is painful.
Jupiter Aspects in 2020: On April 5th 2020, Jupiter will be exactly conjunct Pluto at 24° Capricorn. Retrogrades gives us a 2nd conjunction at the same degree on June 29th 2020. The final conjunction occurs at 22° Capricorn on November 12th 2020.
The last time Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto were this close in tropical Capricorn was 1894 BC.
Jupiter Conjunct Pluto really cannot be looked at without also looking at the Saturn influence. Because of this, the year itself takes on some special significance. Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn transiting through Capricorn will bring lessons of maturity and responsibility cultivated through acceptance of natural cycles of change.
The combination of Jupiter and Pluto can incite extreme ambition for personal power, yet their transit through Capricorn along with Saturn means that we will need to adjust aspirations to contend with the limitations we face concerning material resources, and available time and space. The difficulties or crises we endure will bring revisions in what needs to be nurtured and developed—and what needs to be shed and let go.
Because Jupiter expands anything it touches, power and the abuse of power will also be expanded. Depending on how you handle power itself, will dictate the results of your efforts. This is a karmic year of sorts, and doing the right thing matters. If you are kind and ethical, Jupiter will bring kindness and moral results. If you act in a ruthless, extreme, self-righteous, or obsessive way you are likely to face powerful forces acting against you. This could include trouble from superiors, government authorities, or the law.
This could be a time of large-scale achievement and success that makes you happy and content well into the future—if you conduct yourself ethically and morally. You face various forms of destruction if you act immorally and unethically. This is not the year to tempt fate. Remember that.
3/29/20-4/6/20 Jupiter Conjunct Pluto @ 24 degrees
6/23/20-7/1/20 Jupiter Conjunct Pluto @ 24 degrees
7/6/20-7/9/20 Jupiter Conjunct Pluto @ 23 degrees
11/8/20-11/13/20 Jupiter conjunct Pluto @ 22 degrees
Again, using a 3-degree orb Jupiter conjunct Pluto will be influencing us from:
3/10/20-8/2/20
10/15/20-12/5/20
6/21 /20 Solar Eclipse @ 0 degrees Cancer
There are two different types of eclipses, a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse. A Solar eclipse is when the moon passes in front of the Sun and blocks out its light. A Lunar eclipse is when the Earth comes in between the Sun and the Moon and blocks the Sun’s light out from reflecting on the Moon’s surface.
Again, this solar eclipse promises good changes in the area of home and security.
6/29/20 Mars enters Aries [August – December Mars will square Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn {not all at the same time thankfully} marking a tumultuous 6 months of Mars squares that we all need to be prepared for.]
9/9/20 Mars goes Retrograde @ 28 degrees Aries
11/13/20 Mars goes Direct @ 15 degrees Aries
1/3/21 Mars leaves the post retrograde shadow @ 28 degrees Aries
1/7/21 Mars enters Taurus
Mars Aspects during the year:
7/30/20-8/11/20 Mars Square Jupiter
8/14/20-10/11/20 Mars Square Saturn [exact 8/24/20-8/29/20 @ 26 degrees and 9/28/20-10/1/20 @ 25 degrees]
12/21/20 Mars in Aries square Pluto @ 23 degrees Capricorn
These Mars squares to Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto will be affecting you from late March through December. It will take up almost 3 entire seasons, leaving only winter unaffected directly by Mars aspects, but Mars will still be in Aries at the end of the year. This cannot be underestimated.
I hope this helps as an overview of the year. Be well, and continue to try and do what is right!
