The month of April is relatively sober and uneventful for the most part [from an astrological point of view]. All of the transits of the personal planets are into signs that are compatible, so there isn’t a lot to warn you about. For those that know their natal chart, this might manifest in the house the natal planet falls in.
Mostly this is a calm before a slight storm kind of month. There’s no disaster coming, but this month is relatively calm so anything that comes along in May might be more intense. Pay particular attention to the transits of Mars, as it’s about to hit some intensely personal signs over the rest of the year. Below I will include all the transit dates for Mars for the rest of 2019.
4/1/19 Mars enters Gemini: Mars in Gemini can be unfocused. It easily gets bored, so there is a need for frequent changes of pace. When it gets bored, it creates a feeling of exhaustion. If there is an interest, on the other hand, there is no lack of energy!
Mars in Gemini can be restless due to the overabundance of energy. It is adaptable, and loves change. Sometimes, change just for the sake of change occurs during this time. Be aware that ‘shaking things up” because you are bored can backfire once Mars goes into Cancer.
Here are the dates of the Mars transits for the rest of the year. As a general rule of thumb, you can expect increased energy and difficulty winding down each day, when Mars is in the sign of your Sun.
Mars goes into Gemini – 4/1/19
Mars goes into Cancer [Fall] – 5/17/19
Mars goes into Leo – 7/2/19
Mars goes into Virgo – 8/19/19
Mars goes into Libra [Detriment] – 10/5/19
Mars goes into Scorpio [co-ruler] – 11/20/19
Mars goes into Sagittarius – 1/4/20
4/11/19 Jupiter goes Retrograde until 8/12/19: This isn’t considered a life altering retrograde [generally]. It happens almost the same time each year and for the same amount of time. The outer Planets are on orbital paths that create the retrograde phenomena the same way each and every year.
This time of the year generally brings an awareness of what we seek to achieve. We long for vacations, relationships, happiness, wealth, etc. This retrograde seems to always point out what we don’t have, and how much we wish things were different. We seek change and we seek fulfillment. Simply put we seek to be happy, in whatever way each individual desires. Use the energy wisely as the Jupiter retrogrades are possibly the most rewarding of any retrograde in astrology. Simply put, during a Jupiter retrograde we tend to want to run away from day to day work and responsibilities.
4/18/19 Mercury enters Aries [Dignified]: Mercury in Aries suggests ways of thinking that are decisive and to the point. This Mercury is argumentative by its nature, suggesting the enjoyment of competing mentally.
The thinking is original. There is a love of creating new
ideas and intellectual adventures at this time. This is a
time to think and debate, but people may become impatient with opponents or
opposition. Impatience with delays is prominent at this time. Roadblocks
frustrate people to no end. This attitude may extend to areas of life other
than speech, communication, and decision-making.
One may not be able to concentrate on any one
subject for very long. Jumping to conclusions quickly and with little hesitation.
Impulsiveness can be a problem sometimes. Guard against becoming too headstrong
in thinking and decision-making. A quick temper is sometimes a by-product of
this transit.
On the positive side, the mind is witty and
inventive, and people are usually very quick on the mental trigger.
4/21/19 Sun enters Taurus: Taurus combines the practicality of earth with the concentrated nature of a fixed sign. Taurus people are lovers of beauty and are themselves often quite charming. They are very affectionate, but their strong need for security sometimes lets their affectionate nature become possessive.
Taurus people are strongly rooted in their opinions. They can be stubborn and don’t like to be contradicted. However, Taurus people can change. Just don’t expect that to happen more than once in a lifetime! A Taurus is particularly patient, and often reliable and practical if their laziness and inertia don’t get the better of them. They have incredible endurance, and they often have an excellent business sense. They crave luxury, art and good food.
Taurus says, “I HAVE” as part of their identity. The planet Venus rules Taurus. Its stone is the Emerald. Its identity is “THE BUILDER” The major fear plaguing the Taurus is the ‘Fear of loss of possessions”. The reason for this is that their identity is wrapped up in their possessions, so to lose them, would be to lose themselves as well.
The best careers for a Taurus are: Cashiers, Financial agents or managers, Masseurs, Doctors, Mechanics, Foremen, Farmers, Chefs and Cooks. The sign of Taurus rules the neck and throat on the human body.
4/23/19 Venus enters Aries [detriment]: Venus enters Aries, and brings us all into heat. Desire runs high and with that comes increased frustration. (Lucky us!!) Look to try and avoid rash action. Loved ones may not be delivering the reassurance and affection desired. We will be intensely aware of how much we need this affection however. This time can become a time of extreme selfishness if not held in check. Desire runs deep and the need for satisfaction runs even deeper.
Well, that’s the deal for April. My apologies for the delay in getting this put to all of you.
