This month is a busy one. Not necessarily more dramatic, but definitely busy. August is one of the busiest months of the year astrologically. I wish I knew why, but I don’t. I should do some research on this someday.
8/1/19 Mercury goes direct: Basically, all I can say is —YAY!!! This was a rough retrograde phase, made more dramatic in the signs of Leo and Cancer. While the retrograde is over, the planet is still traveling in its shadow, and will not be fully in its own light until August 15th.
8/12/19 Mercury re-enters Leo: Moving Direct, Mercury re-enters Leo and continues on its way through Leo. It will remain in Leo until the 30th of this month. Mercury, planet of Communication, leaves emotional Cancer again and enters enthusiastic Leo. Mercury feels much more comfortable in this sign, and there should be a sort of re-emerging of people who withdrew during the Mercury in Cancer transit and the recent Mercury Retrograde. Self-evaluation is the keyword through the 30th, self-expression is now manifest. Thoughts and ideas are inspired, and the delivery of thoughts is dramatic.
8/12/19 Jupiter goes Direct in Sagittarius [Ruler]: Jupiter isn’t all that dramatic in its retrograde phase, thus making it less dramatic when it goes Direct as well. But, while its ruler, Jupiter does advance the expansion inherent in Jupiter. During the Direct phase, initiate new projects, new ideas, and carry out plans that may have been thwarted during the recent Mercury Retrograde Phase.
8/19/19 Mars enters Virgo: Mars is direct, forceful, enthusiastic, reckless and impetuous, while Virgo is practical and meticulous. The energy of this combination encourages us to get things done. We should begin by tackling long overdue tasks and working hard to accomplish things. When it comes to goals, Virgo’s strength certainly lies in the methodical, organized nature that’s frequently associated with this sign; with Mars transiting Virgo, laying the groundwork to get what we want means making a “battle plan”, and breaking our goals into specific steps, setting timelines to identify the resources we need. If there’s someone who knows that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, it’s most definitely the detail-oriented Virgo. When pushy Mars boosts Virgo’s diligence, the line between “productive” and “workaholic” can become dangerously thin.
8/22/19 Venus enters Virgo: This is a time when we express our love through practical means instead of through romantic gestures. Do you need him to take the kids to soccer practice? Does he need help with the yard work? All of these will be seen and appreciated as loving gestures
Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. What a partner may need, not want, is of great importance during this cycle. Try to look for the mundane and practical ways you can express that you care. It will be appreciated.
One negative characteristic that can manifest is extreme criticism. Some people may lose their balance and be unable to balance constructive criticism with constructive positive reinforcement. Try to count to 10 before reacting to perceived criticism. It will pay off in the end. Trust me.
8/24/19 Sun enters Virgo: As the sixth sign of the zodiac, Virgo represents the sixth stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. In Leo the need is to discover and develop man’s individuality and creative potential. Here the need is to find ways to put the native’s individual talents to the best possible use. Here the Sun finds the perfect space to express talents and achieve mastery.
A healthy ego develops.
Gone is the bluster and arrogance of the earlier signs, and in its place is a
cooler, calmer individual who is well aware of his talents and how to use them.
This is why Virgo is known as the sign of service. Here in the sign of Virgo
the native finds a useful and practical use for his talents and it is also why
all mastery of any discipline springs from either a healthy ego developed in
the 6th house or from the dedication and attention to details that most Virgo
natives possess in abundance naturally.
This is a delicate position in the evolution of
the individual and the last real chance to enter into relationships with others
on any level as a healthy individual. Because of this, the Sign of Virgo and
its primary force, is widely misunderstood. While it is easy to reduce the sign
to the detail-oriented person of service, to do so would be missing the point
entirely.
Here through either the 6th house or the
sign of Virgo each and every native does the finishing touches on their
individuality. A healthy ego, one that is cognizant of its abilities, what it
can accomplish, and what it has to offer to others, is a NECESSITY before any
native can enter into a more intimate and responsible relationship involving
partners. Without a healthy respect and an understanding of one’s own abilities
and talents, one cannot hope to feel adequate in any relationship of any merit.
This sign speaks volumes to the maturity of any native, and it is the lesson of
the Virgo to know and understand when – enough is enough.
Virgos adapt to change. Virgos react to what they
experience by assessing its practical worth before taking physical action,
before sorting out emotional involvement, and before reasoning it out
intellectually.
8/30/19 Mercury in Virgo [Ruler & Exalted]: Mercury is at home in Virgo and this transit often brings clear thinking and enormous focus. Use the discriminative and analytic powers of Mercury in Virgo this month to get clear on the ways that you can streamline your life in the areas of health, daily routine, mind/body awareness and work/service. Use this period to focus on the details of your life that have not been attended to recently. Use this Mercury period to clean up any energy drains in your life. You will find that you will be clearer and have more energy to focus on your highest priorities as a result.
Again, I want to thank everyone for your continued support. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you can possibly know.
Enjoy the month!!
