Well, I’ve been out of commission for the past few months. It’s a long, boring tale of medical crap, cascading into a full on hospital stay. I’m mostly healed, and I am finally back at work on a limited basis. I will try and catch up on the Newsletters. May will be posted just for reference for those of you that keep track of these things. June will be contained in this post.
Anyone who had a natal report promised over the past few months, please let me know. I have 2 clients I know I owe, but I’ll admit, I’ve been so medically challenged, I might have missed a client. Please message me if I promised something and never delivered. Apologies don’t really cover it, but that’s all I have to offer [plus a discount on any future session.].
Now…
June shapes up to be a relatively uneventful month regarding major planetary transitions. However there are some aspects that I’ll cover because they are powerful over a longer period of time.
June 2019 Newsletter
6/5/19 Mercury enters Cancer:
With Mercury in Cancer women especially can become sensitive and withdrawn. It might even bring on a sudden shyness, and many choose not to talk at all. For the next like 25 days, people may respond to life events slowly, giving the impression of being disconnected and withdrawn, but it isn’t withdrawing from people, it’s withdrawing into oneself the contemplate, to manage and process changes and to manage emotions.
It’s a needed time of Self-evaluation.
Relationships aren’t breaking up, or at least not all relationships are breaking up because one or both are feeling withdrawn. It’s a time of self-evaluation and processing of emotions. It’s good. Not usually bad. It’s a time of meditation on problems, and reflection on experiences.
Intuitive energy is VERY high during this particular transit, and the ability to communicate what is seen, felt, or heard is markedly improved once people come out of the introversion at the beginning of the transit.
6/10/19 Venus enters Gemini:Time to have some fun. Here we have a period of capriciousness and frivolity reigning supreme. Venus in Gemini is just a time of whimsy, thoughtlessness, and perhaps [??] unfaithfulness. It’s not a time to be overly serious or critical of loved ones. They just want to play, and sometimes, during this time, they want to play with someone new. Just roll with the tide, things will smooth out soon enough.
This doesn’t in any way say that ALL people will be unfaithful, but generally speaking, most people will feel the need to have their own space, to flirt, be frivolous. Try and allow that without making it a serious thing. This transit doesn’t last long, and it’s basically just the age old “I want to Party” syndrome.
6/22/19 Sun enters Cancer [First Day of Summer]:The sun enters Cancer and summer begins. For most of us we begin to feel more emotional, but at the same time more emotionally centered. While Cancer as a sign as a reputation for being overly emotional and sensitive, it is also a Cardinal sign, and is therefore emotionally strong and mature. Sometimes the strength of the sign of Cancer is underestimated.
What is a Cancer Anyway??
Before we get started, Cancers are a difficult sign to interpret because of the emotional nature of the sign, but the strong Cardinality. The initiate the Summer season, and although most Cancers self-describe as emotional and sensitive, very few understand the strength underneath. It is an extremely strong sign. Emotionally centered, but strong. Remember that.
Cancer is both Cardinal in quality and Water by element, giving that sign both passive and aggressive qualities, but not necessarily passive-aggressive personalities. Context is important when it comes to the sign of Cancer due to the element of water and its cardinality.
Cancer is located in the astrological element of Water. Of the four astrological elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and Water). Water is the most ancient, primitive, and instinctual. Being the most primal element, Water is also the element furthest away from rational mental energy, consciousness, and thought. Thus, Water energy tends to defy attempts at coming up with rational explanations and descriptions. Astrologically, the element of water is associated with feeling, sensitivity, and emotion. Water signs are the home base of emotional energy when it comes to the Zodiac. When you think water sign, think emotional energy and you will have the foundation for these signs, and the place they originate.
Cancer, ruled by the Moon, has the added distinction of being Cardinal as well as Water thus giving these natives an energy level that rivals all the fire and air signs combined. Cardinal, in Astrology, is defined as ‘initiators of action’. A heady distinction but it certainly describes people in these 4 signs to a tee. They begin things, and in the real world the Signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn begin each season of the year. The first day of Spring is the first day the Sun is in the Sign of Aries, the first day of Summer is the day the Sun enters the Sign of Cancer, etc. As a matter of fact the season’s change is calculated by astrological calendars. Think the car-pool mom with a MBA when it comes to the sign of Cancer, and you have one idea of the level of energy that people can muster each and every day. If you want something done give it to a Cancer. At least that’s my story (and I’m sticking to it.).
Nurturing, protective, tenacious, emotional sensitivity, and valuing strong traditional roots. Cancer is the archetypal image of the bond between mother and son (as well as the archetypal image of the bond between father and daughter). Ruled by the ever-changing, but ever faithful Moon, Cancer reflects the mysterious, continual cycles of nature. Cancer reflects the ebb and flow of the tides, and, as such, reflects the ebb and flow of emotions.
People with the Sun in Cancer generally develop best through having an emotional relationship with their surroundings. Cancer evaluates everyone and everything in terms of feelings and values. Hard, cold logic “need not apply” when it comes to the energies of Cancer. The varying (ebb and flow) moods of “wild child” Cancer are often a puzzlement to everyone around, including the Cancer who’s having the mood. They also tend to show their feelings more readily than the other water signs (Scorpio and Pisces), and so may feel more vulnerable because others seem to have easy access to their emotional life. Cancers will run for cover when they feel overly vulnerable.
Because of this emotional sensitivity, the “Crab” is seldom comfortable in a wider and more impersonal social setting. So they may tend to create a small, enclosed environment and only allow a few select people into their sphere of influence. However, with those powerful Crab pinchers, once they do allow someone or something into your sphere – they often experience great difficulty letting go. This stubborn refusal of emotionally letting go applies to people, traditions, and possessions.
You know that closet full of things you just couldn’t throw away because you might need them one day. Well, you never know when you might need it, right? That rainy day you’ve been planning for? It might end up being tomorrow. One never knows about these things, do they?
6/28/19 Mercury enters Leo:Mercury, planet of Communication, leaves emotional Cancer today and enters enthusiastic Leo. Mercury feels much more comfortable in this sign, and there should be a sort of re-emerging of people who withdrew during the Mercury in Cancer transit. Self-evaluation is the keyword through the 28th, self-expression is now manifest. Thoughts and ideas are inspired, and the delivery of thoughts is dramatic.
That’s it for this month. See you all next month.

Cait
Oh, you’re so welcome. I’m glad it helped. I like to do the Newsletters because the info can be so helpful to those that pay attention.
In your case, Mercury is your ruler, so that Mercury in Cancer is pretty important as far as how you think and what motivates you.
The good thing in your chart is that you have the Cardinal Cancer Mercury to really help balance out all those mutable signs you have in the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. The Cardinality of Mercury [your ruler] makes you more focused in your thinking and intuitive as well.
Watch the Moon phases because then you will learn how the Moon affects your thinking. For the most part, I consider an intuitive Mercury placement to be a valuable life asset, but it does make you prone to ups and downs in your thinking because you are indeed prone to moodiness. Luckily, all people are prone to moodiness, but not everyone has the sound emotional center that the Mercury placement gives your chart. Consider it a gift, even if it can make you anxious upon occasion.
Wonderful talking, I hope you come back to visit often.
