Taurus combines the practicality of earth with the concentrated nature of a fixed sign. Considered by many to be one of the most stubborn signs on the Zodiac, I prefer to call them the most determined instead.
The sign of Taurus is considered “The Builder”, and in order to complete building projects, families, careers, etc, the Taurus is gifted with the talent of determination and the desire to complete things. Where the Sign of Aries is often on to new projects before they are completed, Taurus is the sign that steps in and completes projects. Call it stubborn if you like, I prefer to call it determined.
Taurus people are lovers of beauty and are themselves often quite charming. They are very affectionate, but their strong need for security sometimes lets their affectionate nature become possessive.
Taurus people are strongly rooted in their opinions. They can be stubborn [determined] and don’t like to be contradicted. However, Taurus people can change. Just don’t expect that to happen more than once in a lifetime! A Taurus is particularly patient, and often reliable and practical if inertia doesn’t get the better of them. They often need lots of rest in order to re-charge their energies to keep pace with their “building”. It takes a lot of energy to be that determined.
They have incredible endurance and they often have an excellent business sense. They crave luxury, art, and good food. Of all the signs on the Zodiac, Taurus wants to live a good life, whatever the individual thinks that good life entails.
Taurus says, “I HAVE” as part of the identity.
The planet Venus rules Taurus. Venus, the planet of sensuality and beauty, is considered physically attractive and refined. Appreciative of fine food and fine wines, the Taurus needs to watch their health, and should have a regular routine of physical activity, or all that good food and wine can go straight to the waistline.
Since they enjoy presenting themselves in the best light, Taurus women [and some men] can simply delight in cosmetics and other beauty aids, and, no slave to fashion, they select clothes that either show off their best points or are extremely comfortable.
Physical comfort is paramount, and they do so love the feeling of soft, luxurious materials. Sociable, yet unobtrusive, they enjoy social occasions, especially in the company of friends.
Its stone is the Emerald.
Its identity is “THE BUILDER”
The major fear plaguing the Taurus is the ‘Fear of loss of possessions’. The reason for this is that their identity is wrapped up in their possessions, so to lose them would be to lose themselves also. This may sound shallow, but think about it…
Taurus is the Builder, and they take pride in what they build. It’s really as simple as that. It is a possession, but more importantly a creative extension of “self”. It’s not as simple as rank materialism. It is more an attachment to what one has built and created. It may sound like a distinction without a difference, but there is a stark difference here. Oh, rest assured, some can become saddled with the flaw of materialism, but that is a manifestation of an individual’s natal chart, and should not be considered a “normal” Taurus characteristic.
A Taurus is steadfast in his or her journey, has incredible patience, determination, and has a single-minded approach to achieving their desires in life. Do not get in the way of a Taurus hell-bent on a course of action. You will regret it.
Considered by many to be refined and attracted to the arts in a wide variety of occupations. Look for chefs that are artists, hair stylists that are creative, executives that employ creative methods to run their empires [so to speak]. While the profession may be different, the approach is always creative.
While a Taurus is tied to their POV and does not easily change an opinion, this is only because they must see things through to completion. The #1 instinct in a Taurus is to build something, even if it is a dream. This kind of creativity needs determination to accomplish its goals.

Write about what matters to you. That’s the secret I think. I’ve been fascinated by Astrology since I was 13 years old. I won’t tell you how many years ago that was. LOL
I’ve tried to quit a number of times, but I just love it and it has a lot of my passion. I write for me, and then hope there are people out there that like what I have to say. But, it doesn’t really matter to me how many people approve or disapprove, I love doing this.
That’s my advice to anyone writing a blog or a story, or whatever–write about what you love, and throw it out there into the ethos. Then hope someone ‘get’s it’. 🙂
